16th Handicraft Trade Fair Starts from Today

Kathmandu, November 14, 2018: 16th Handicraft Trade Fair will start from today along with 14th Craft Competition with the slogan of Handicraft: ‘Prospects for Prosperity’.

The event is organized by Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN), co-organized by Ministry of Commerce.

Along with Nepal, traders from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan have joined the exhibition. The exhibition has 6 pavilions and 170 stalls.

The trade fair has stalls on pashmina products, woolen goods, silver jewelry, metal statue and crafts, handmade paper, cotton/natural fiber, wooden craft, stone craft, ceramics, Thankha, leather products and beads items, etc.

Along with the exhibition, craft competition will be held where winners will get the cash prize of 50,000, 30,000 and 20,000 rupees.

Trade & Export Promotion Center, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Nepal Tourism Board and Federation of Nepal Cottage & Small Industry are the event partners for the exhibition.

The entry fee is Rs. 50 and Rs. 25 for students.
