Bhadrapur, 26 February, 2015 : The Bahundangi folks in the north eastern parts of Jhapa district who have been troubled by the wild elephant menace have put forth a charter of 14-point demand before the government, seeking minimisation of this menace.

The people of Bahundangi have demanded the government make effective precautions to minimise the risks from wild elephants. Protection of electric bar set up to prevent the elephant entry to the village, payment to the human resources hired for the bar supervision and management of an emergency fund in the village are among the demands put forth by them.
