Panchtar,16 Nov 2014: The Sanghiya Limbuwan Party has called banda (general shutdown) in nine districts of eastern Nepal, demanding the implementation of the five-point agreement the government signed with the party.

The banda has badly affected the districts as Pantchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Taplejung, Tehrathum, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha. There are no vehicles operated for both long and short routes.

Similarly, market places and factories are shut down here.

Party Chairman Kumar Lingden said they were bound to call banda in the nine districts in the east of the Arun River, as the government did not heed the five-point agreement which had ensured announcement of Limbuwan autonomous region to the nine districts.

However, the vehicles as ambulance, hearse and of diplomatic mission will be allowed for mobility.
