Kathmandu, Feb 10,2015: Constituent Assembly member of the Nepali Congress from Okhaldhunga constituency no 2, Ramhari Khatiwada, has donated Rs 50,000 to the Bhattarai Ashram, a home set up in memory of the former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattrai.
Providing the donation, CA member Khatiwada said he was highly influenced by the thoughts of the political sage, Bhattarai. “He was an inspiring figure for the beginning of my political career,” Mr Khatiwada said, adding that he provided the assistance in a loving memory of the statesman Bhattarai. The assistance would help run the memorial home.
The ideal and wisdom of leader Bhattarai became successful to bring the new constitution within a year after the 1990 people’s movement. It is in deed an unforgettable contribution, he added.
CA member Khatiwada has been utilizing monthly salary for various social services. He has funded many schools in his district and been helping senior people, and charities.
