Kathmandu,5 Dec 2014: The kin of Anish Khaling Rai have fervently appealed for saving his life. Rai from Matsepokhara VDC-3, Sankhuwasabha district, is in a death row in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking at a press conference organised here today by the Save Anis Khaling Rai Campaign, Rai’s family members and kin urged the government to immediately take the initiatives for saving his life.
Rai who had gone to Dubai three years back had been semtenced to life by a court in Dubai on murder charge a year later.
An official with the Campaign committee said that they were not aware about the news that was carried by the media that the amount of Rs 305,000 in blood money they sent to the Dubai Court on August 14, 2014 as demanded by it has bounced back to Nepal.
