Kathmandu, Feb 13: The meeting of the Constitutional Council today concluded with a decision to make appointments to the vacant position of members in Public Service Commission (PSC) and Commission for Investigation of Abuse of the Authority (CIAA). The Council will meet again on coming February 24 to make the final decision on the appointments.

Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang, who is member of the Council, said that the decision in this connection would be made on February 24. The meeting was scheduled for February 24 as Chief Justice who is also the member of the CC is currently in Russia and would return home on February 23.

Following the meeting, Speaker Nembang told reporters that they reviewed the roster prepared for the purpose and would take a decision on the same in the next meeting.

In the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, DPM Bamdev Gautam and main opposition party leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal were present.

Meanwhile, Speaker Nembang urged Prime Minister Koirala and Unified Maoist Chair Dahal to hold meaningful dialogue as postponed the Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting on Thursday expecting that the parties would be able to hold talks to end the current political crisis.
