Biratnagar, 7th February, 2015 : Minister for Information and Communications Dr Minendra Rijal has said the path for political consensus would be paved only when the political parties gave up their traditional thought of exerting pressure with individual agendas.
Talking briefly to journalists at Biratnagar Airport today, Minister Dr Rijal said the current government and the Prime Minister were for promulgating the new constitution by forging political consensus, keeping the interest of the country. Saying this, he urged the opposition parties to come on talks accepting the spirit of the public mandate.
Similarly, the Minister said the main spirit of the Comprehensive Peace Accord was to accept the democracy. He urged the opposition parties’ alliance led by the Unified CPN (Maoist) to quit protests but immediately sit for talks for political consensus.
Dissolving the Questionnaire Committee constituted by the Constituent Assembly was impossible. Contradictory views regarding the constitution writing can be put forth at the CA.
