Chapagaun (Lalitpur), Aug 2: Nepali Congress Vice President Ramchandra Poudel has stressed the need of running the party in unison. The culture of factionalism could not run the party, he said.
Addressing a programme organised by the party on the occasion of the birth centenary of BP Koirala at Lalitpur ward no. 6 Saturday, leader Poudel laid emphasis on unity within the party to draft a federal democratic constitution.  Now the responsibility of safeguarding democracy with promoting BP’s ideologies has come upon the shoulder of Congress, he added.
NC Lalitpur district president and Constituent Assembly ( CA) member Madan Bahadur Amatya said the promulgation of a democratic constitution was a must to lead the country towards development.
Congress leader Omkar Shrestha argued the matters related to restructuring of the state, form of governance and secularism could be discussed even after the drafting of a constitution if they could not be settled immediately.
