MBBS Scholarship Entrance Exams Re-Scheduled For December 13

Kathmandu, Dec 6,2014: The entrance examinations for the scholarship of the MBBS study carried out by the Ministry of Education scheduled for Saturday has been postponed with the leakage of question papers.

Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr Hari Lamsal said the examinations were rescheduled for December 13.

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested the director and a teacher of the Golden Gate College for leaking the question papers.

They were arrested for collecting money from students with promises of providing them 10 papers each of MBBS question paper sets ‘A’ and ‘B’.

The College’s Director Deviram Padney and teacher Prabhat Kumar Kusawaha are accused of collecting Rs 1 million from nine students.

The Ministry had held the examinations for selecting the students for scholarship for the bachelor’s level study of Nursing, Pharmacy and Forestry.

Meanwhile, the College’s Executive Chief Ramesh Silwal has said the arrested teachers would be sacked after the board meeting on Sunday.

He said the College was not responsible for the question paper leak but the individuals. He added the College would help the administration in taking legal actions against those arrested.
