Kathmandu, February 19, 2018: Nepal Shito-ryu Karate Association is set to organize the second iteration of Khotang-Halesi Open International Karate Championship from May 3 to May 5, 2018, in Diktel, Khotang.
Nepal Shito-ryu Karate Association announced that they have vigorously prepared for the championship which is estimated to cost about Nrs. 5 million. Also, under the leadership of Babi Chamling, Chairman of Khotang District Coordination Committee, the main championship organizing committee has been formed.
According to Sanjaya Kumar Rai, Association Khotang Chapter Chair, athletes from Nepal, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be competing in the tournament.
Nepal Shito-ryu Karate Association was established in 2003 with the motive to guide karate as a technique to be healthy, an athlete and a method of self-defense. Nepal Shito-ryu Karate Association has successfully maintained its identity by creating national and international level karate players.
