Nepal beats Australia at a consolation match in Blind Cricket World Cup

Kathmandu, 16 January, 2018: In a consolation game held in the Blind Cricket World Cup, at the MCC Cricket Ground in Ajman, United Arab Emirates on 15 January, Nepal has won the match against Australia by 8 wickets.

Cricket journalist and Creative Director of Dhangadhi Premier League, Rajan Shah informed that the Nepali team has already been knocked out of the championship after getting defeated in three consecutive matches with Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.

Skipper Kirtan Shrestha Duwal and his deputy Bikram Bahadur Rana have announced retirement from cricket after the defeat. They have been a fundamental part of the blind cricket team since 11 years.

Currently being held in Pakistan, the fifth Blind Cricket World Cup convenes India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh in the semi-finals while Nepal and Australia have been knocked out of the championship.
