Nuwakot, February 23, 2018: Nuwakot Chamber of Commerce and Industry is all set to organize the fifth edition of Nuwakot Mahotsav from February 28 to March 10, 2018, in Bidur, Nuwakot.
In the Mahotsav visitors can enjoy paragliding, rafting, helicopter day trip and elephant safari among a host of activities. The paragliding will be organized from the historic Seven-storied Palace premises while the river rafting will take place in the Trishuli River.
The festival will also feature the traditional bullfighting. Similarly, the helicopter excursion will be organized at the major spots in the district including a mountain flight from Mt Ganesh to Gosainkunda. The is organizing the festival with the objective of promoting the local culture, tradition, and tourism.
Tara Bahadur Karki, the president of Nuwakot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, mentioned that there would be 275 stalls including the stalls showcasing the local agricultural and handicraft products in the festival.
Similarly, the famous Kaanchi badam (groundnut) from Trishuli, the rice grains from Shikharbesi, the trout fish and strawberry from Kakani and the ground apple from Kispang will also be on sale during the festival.
