Kathmandu, March 6, 2015: The CPN-Maoist has objected to the disruption of services at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for the past three days.
The party alerted the government to adopt ‘scientific and concrete’ measures to resolve the problem, citing the domestic and foreign passengers have been facing trouble and inconveniences as it failed to take initiative for resolving the problem in time.
The CPN-Maoist said the government mechanism was not mobilized in an effective manner to ease the situation surfaced after an aircraft of the Turkish Airlines met with an accident on Wednesday in course of landing.
The party said that it is regrettable that effective initiatives have not been made to clear the blocked runway.
A press release issued by the Party Spokesperson, Pampha Bhusal, today states that bringing an aircraft of the Indian Airlines and soldiers tantamount to intervention on the national sovereignty.
The press release also urges the government to think about humanitarian aspect of thousands of passengers by resolving the problems immediately.
