FNJ probe team starts study into journalist attack case

Kathmandu,28 Nov 2014: Beam of Hope (Ashako Kiran), a social organization has provided blankets and clothes to some hundred households of flood victims at Gulariya Municipality Ward No 5, Rampurtappa of Bardiya district on Thursday.

The organization has been holding health camps, awareness programmes and relief providing programmes to the needy people in different remote villages across the country for the last two years.

It provided blankets and clothes to the flood victims as they were displaced due to floods occurred in first week of August. They are now kept in temporary shelter at the place.

One hundred and six people lost their lives, 125 are still missing and 59 were injured in the disasters in the Mid-Western Development Region.

“We are planning to organize a health camp at the flood affected areas as it has become necessary,” said chairman at the organization, Santosh Upadhyay.

While receiving the blankets and clothes, the flood affected people thanked the organization and urged it to continue such humanitarian works to the needy people in the days ahead.
