Salyan, 26 February : The District Development Committee (DDC) Salyan has estimated a budget for the upcoming fiscal year ( 072-73 BS). The DDC has estimated the budget of Rs 2.23 billion for the next fiscal. This was informed at a programme organised to unveil the plans and programmes of Committee’s 21st council.
Of the estimated budget, Rs 621 million has been proposed under the heading of current expenditure and Rs 1.6 billion has been proposed towards the capital expenditure, Local Development Officer Hari Prasad Dahal said.
The budget has set first priority to infrastructure development as around Rs 560 million has been proposed towards that end. Social development, human and heath development, development of agro sector and environment protection are its other priorities.
National Planning Commission Vice- Chair Dr Govinda Kumar Pokhrel and Parliament’s Finance Committee Chair and lawmaker Prakash Jwala were there to inaugurate the progrmame.
