Pokhara,2 Feb 2015: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has expressed the determination to promulgate the new constitution from the CA and thereby not let it fail like it’s predecessor.
Inaugurating the national council meet of Rastriya Janasanskriti Mahasangh Nepal here Monday, he said the UML will provide the leadership to ensure that happens in collaboration with Nepali Congress and other forces. Federating the country on the basis of ethnicity in a country with 125 ethnic groups will make Nepal face situation like that of Rwanda, Sudan and Nigeria, he said and urged one and all to remain alert of those who are trying to invite ethnic divisions and fighting in the country.
Stating that there was no need to be scared of the UCPN-M’s threatening, leader Oli warned that the UCPN-M could be limited to two to four seats in the next election if it does not rectify itself soon. ‘Revolution should be in the progressive interest of the people”, added.
On the occasion, leader Oli presented the Janasanskriti Prize worth Rs. 25,000 to senior film artist Deshbhakta Khanal, the Janasanskritik Youth talent prize carrying a purse of Rs. 15,000 to Anju Aley and the Martyr Anil Lama Memorial Fine Art Youth talent prize worth Rs. 5,000 to Dipendra Man Banepani.
