Balewa (Baglung), Jan 31,2015: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Baglung branch has begun cutting off the supply lines of its consumers who failed to pay their tariff even after repeated warning.

“Since the dues were becoming very high, we had to cut off power supply of the defaulters”, said NEA Officer Sarbajit KC. Those facing action include individuals, organizations and government offices.

Power supply lines of more than 100 NEA consumers in Bhakunde, Tityang, Rayadanda, Binhu, Tanggram, Amalachaur, Righa, Malma and Baglung bazaar have been disconnected, according to KC. The total arrears of NEA Baglung in the form of uncollected tariff have crossed ten million rupees, and hence we were compelled to take the step, adds KC.
