Kaski, Jan 30,2015: A journalist Dipendra Shrestha has been honoured with the Tankadevi-Tulasi Prasad Koirala Memorial Journalism Award-2071.At a programme organised in Pokhara today, educationist George John, presented the award to Shrestha. The award was established by Subarna Prasad, son of the Koirala couple and it is run by the Mechi-Mahakali Media Society Nepal.Kaski chapter President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Ram Krishna Gyawali said that Shrestha was honoured for his contribution to the transformation of society by means of journalism. Shrestha is working at Pokhara-based ‘Annapurna FM’ since long.The award carries a purse of Rs 20,000 and a copper plaque.
