Team ‘SRASTHA’ Grabs the Hult Prize at TU

Kathmandu, December 10, 2018: The second session of Hult Prize has been successfully completed by the School of Management, Tribhuvan University on December 9th, 2018. The ‘SRASTHA’ team has been declared as the winner of the Hult Prize 2019 by the jury. Likewise, team ‘Gras Ruts’ and ‘Doing traditional way, creating employment’ were the first runner up and the second runner up respectively.

The chief guests of the event were Prof. Mahananda Chalise, Director, School of Management, Tribhuvan University and Prof. Dhurba Kumar Gautam, Acting Dean, Faculty of Management where Prof. Dinesh Mani Ghimire, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Management was the special guest.

The captain of ‘SRASTHA’  shared that the team has planned to prepare ‘Yatri’, an online business where the tourists can choose their own travel companion to travel short places. The companions they can choose are the students who are enlisted in their online platform though different selection process.

The ‘on-campus event’ is the quarterfinal round of the Hult Prize 2019 and the winners get direct qualification to the “Regionals Event” which will be happening at 26 different cities all over the world. A total of 32 teams participated at the event and which was assessed by a panel of 16 jury members from different sectors and expertise. Student entrepreneurs were asked to create viable start-up centered on the theme of the Hult.
