Kathmandu,14 Feb 2015: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called on Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at latter’s official residence at Baluwatar today in a bid to clear the cementing political impasse emerged after January 22.
In the meeting, they held discussions positively on how to end the political deadlock and to take the constitution drafting process ahead.Â Â Sources said that Prime Minister Koirala said that there was no alternative of creating a trustworthy atmosphere for dialogues.
PM Koirala said that he had made repeated efforts for the dialogues and added that the problem could be ended through consensus and unity.Â He further said that they would soon hold a dialogue to end the deadlock, expressing confidence that the opposition parties would be ready for the same.
Following the meeting, Unified Maoist Chair Dahal said that the meeting was positive and the government should exercise more to formalize the dialogues.
He said that he held the dialogue as the opposition leader not from the side of 30-party alliance leader however, it has created positive environment for further dialogue.
Chairman Dahal said that the postponement of the Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting and initiation of the PM for dialogue were positive steps.
The meeting is expected to create trustworthy environment for further dialogues among the political parties as the talks among them were halted for a long time since after the formulation of questionnaire committee by the CA.
