Kathmandu, April 02, 2018: Nepal Red Cross Society has encouraged eligible people for emergency help. As information, Kathmandu Valley has possible of facing the shortage of blood and presently a collection of blood has seriously dropped.
Chief Dibyaraj Poudel, a Society’s Communications Department have said that the organization has suggested Youth for Blood and Club 25 which are active in the Valley in fresh blood collection.
Additionally, district branches and sub-branches based in the Kathmandu Valley, Social Organizations and Volunteer Donor also has escalated blood donation and collection programmes.
Besides that, Valley-based hospitals recorded relatively more surgery cases in Chaitra.
Dr Manita Rajkarnikar, Director of Blood Transfusion Centre said there is a demand of 350 ltr. of blood in the valley, but the centre is finding it hard to cope with the situation as the collection has dropped exhaustively.
In the same way, NRCS blood transfusion centre based Dudhpati is also facing this case.
