Bhimduttanagar, Nov 4,2014: The number of tax payers has increased by twofold in Mahakali zone with the implementation of ‘taxpayers education programme’.
With increasing public awareness on tax payment, an outcome of tax payers education programme, over 5,000 new taxpayers have come to a tax network, Inland Revenue Office Kanchanpur’s tax officer Deepak Kumar KC said.
The programme which is in its fourth year has developed public’s positive perception towards tax system and its importance, he said.
Department of Inland Revenue initiated the programme. Although the programme has proportionally incorporated all areas of the Mahakali Zone, rural parts of hilly areas are sometime excluded due to geographic remoteness.
