Kathmandu, 19 January, 2018: The Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) is set to organise ‘Young Women Entrepreneurs’ Summit(YWES)’ on 20 January. The fourth iteration of the summit aims to promote women entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the country in general.

With the motto of ‘Connect, Collaborate and Create’, this year’s YWES aims to weave a network between women entrepreneurs and their ideas through a platform for collaboration.

Juna Mathema, chairperson of YWES, mentioned that this summit wants to inspire young people planning start-up projects. “There are various obstacles to promote entrepreneurial growth of youth in the country. We intend to motivate them to become an entrepreneur”, shared Mathema. Additionally, she stated that this platform will prove to become a double benefit platform for participants as they would not only be able to float their entrepreneurial ideas and showcase their products, but also get motivated by other young entrepreneurs who have successfully started different business ventures.

Prasanna Basnet, one of the committee members of YWES, said that the summit will provide a platform for young women entrepreneurs to learn and network through their innovative business ideas.

The single day event will have inspirational talks, panel discussions on scopes and challenges of entrepreneurship in Nepal, different workshops and networking activities. At least 150 participants will be welcomed in the summit.

NYEF is the apex body of young entrepreneurs in Nepal. It has been organizing training programs, idea exchange programs and fellowship to encourage entrepreneurial ambience among the youths of Nepal.
