Kathmandu, Aug. 6: Temporary teachers who are on a relay hunger strike for the past 231 days have complained of indifference on the part of the government towards their demands.

Organising a press conference in the capital today, they demanded guarantee of their job security, removal of provision of contract-based teachers from the Education Regulations and enforcement of the amended Education Act-2063 BS.

At the call of Temporary Teachers Agitation Central Committee, temporary teachers have been on a relay strike at Ratnapark-based Shantibatika since December 18, 2013 seeking permanency through a due process. RSS
