Rautahat, 28 Oct 2014: District Police Office Rautahat on Monday held a person with 20-kg silver.
Sixteen-year-old Rajan Jha of Garudabairiya was arrested with silver from Kabirchowk of district headquarters Gaur, said Police Inspector Ram Prakash Chaudhary.
Acting on a special tip-off a squad deputed from the District Police Office seized the big quantity of silver being smuggled to India from Kathmandu, said police.
Preparation is underway to hand over the convict to Revenue Investigation Office, Pathlaiya, Bara for necessary action.
The market price of the confiscated silver exceeds Rs 2 million.
