Dhangadhi, Dec 11: Police have arrested a person with archeologically important Lord Buddha’s idol made up of eight different metals from Dhangadhi municipality-4 on Wednesday evening.
Acting on a special tip-off, a police team deputed from Regional Crime Investigation Group, Seti, District Police Office, Kailali and Ward Police Office, Dhangadhi arrested Mitthu Swar with Buddha’s idol weighing 11 kgs.
Likewise, police nabbed Hari Narayan Dahal of Dhagadhi municipality-1, who had gone at large after the District Court convicted him in a rape case.
The District Court had panalized Dahal in connection with the case before 10 years.
