Pyuthan,19 March 2015: An elderly died in a bomb explosion in Pyuthan this afternoon.
Namakumari Pokhrel, 65, of Okharkot-5 in the district died in the explosion, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Tul Bahadur Karki. No other casualty has been reported, it is said.
Himal MC, a local resident, said that a bomb exploded and killed Pokharel while he was returning home, collecting firewood from the nearby jungle. DSP Karki said that investigations have been initiated into the incident.
Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurumbang, DSP Karki and other officials have reached the site from the district headquarters.
