16 August, 2015: An open fire by Pakistan near the Balakote sector, Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir) took place around 6:20 pm in the Hamirpur area. This kind of open fire, just before the eve of India’s 69th Independence Day was already done before twice, on Tuesday in Rajouri and Poonch districts, where Pakistani troops fired on post in LOC in small armed groups.
This attack got more severe when firing started increasing rapidly from small arms to 60 mm mortars, considered as a short smooth bore gun, for firing shells at high angels. Any kind of damages or loss are not reported so far.
In July, there have been unprovoked firing at indo- pak border again. Where four people died and fourteen got injured. Among the deads, three are reported to be Indian Army Jawans.
