OS X Yosemite: Apple’s new operating system

    OS X is the operating system that powers every Mac. Built on a rock-solid UNIX foundation, it’s engineered to take full advantage of what the hardware is capable of. With a subtitle of ‘Every bit as powerful as it looks’, Apple has now arrived with it’s new operating system, OS X Yosemite. Apple has done a lot in making this operating system a great one. Apple confirms that it will change the way you look at your mac with its new design with great features.

    • Redesigned Interface: In OS X Yosemite, Apple has made different changes in the appearance. It has added a today section in the notification center. It will help to trace the events and notes for that particular day. It has also changed the view of some apps like Safari, Maps, Mail and more. Fonts have also been changed to make the interface look even better. Apps dock is also updated so that it won’t look cozy while selecting apps.     • Continuity: iOS and Mac will be connected to each other like never before. Now, you can make a phone calls and even receive calls, send sms from Mac. Handoff feature will provide you with the opportunity to start writing at Mac and complete it on your iPad while you are heading to office or anywhere else. Instant hotspot option on Mac will help you start hotspot from your iPhone without even touching iPhone. Simply select your iPhone from your wifi option and then hotspot will start and you complete your browsing session, disconnect the network and the hotspot will turn off. Sharing data have also been easier in OS X Yosemite through AirDrop.

    • Better Apps: There have been many updates in Mac apps like in Safari, making you more close with the webpages that you visit. Mail is updated with an inclusion of Mail Drop which allows to send file of size upto 5GB. Finder app now allows you to find the files in iCloud from your Mac.
