Over 3,000 rescue personnel from 30 countries mobilized in quake-affected areas

Kathmandu, May 1,2015: Over 3,000 security personnel including the army personnel of more than 30 countries have been deployed in rescue, relief and treatment of the victims of the earthquake, according to the Nepalse Army.

The security personnel at the coordination of the NA have now been carrying out rescue, relief and treatment of the victims at different quake-affected areas.

Different countries including India, China, Sri Lanka, Israel, Singapore and UK have sent more than 100 rescue persons for the search of those missing in the quake and their rescue.

NA Spokesperson Jagadish Chandra Pokharel said that the security personnel have been carrying out works day and night with the help of sniffer dogs to rescue the alive the people entrapped in the rubble and flattened buildings as well as to pull out the bodies from the damaged infrastructures.
