Kathmandu, March 21, 2015: Â Paaila for Education (PfE): Connecting the Dots for Better Educationâ€ was officially launched on March 20, 2015 at FNCCI building hall, Teku, Kathmandu. Conceptualized and developed by three members of U.S. Embassy Youth Council (USYC) 2014, Paila is a technology based approach that utilizes online web platform to fulfill these basic nonmonetary needs of underprivileged students and schools through the mobilization of local youth clubs.
The goal of the project is to help build better education environment in the schools in order to promote sustainable education development in Nepal and to engage youth clubs and schools (students) in social activities. The website of Paila was also lauched on the same day.
â€œ We aim to find needs which are ignored and not given much priority and create happy stories.â€said Pavitra Gautam from Paila For Education.
Representatives from various schools (including students) and youth clubs/groups of Kathmandu valley and surrounding, corporate/business houses and development partners, members of U.S. Embassy Youth Council and representatives from Yuwa and U.S. Embassy were present at the event.
