Kathmandu, October 3, 2016: Panchakanya Tej has become the Champion of the Everest Premiere League (EPL) this year.

Tej won the first installment of the tournament with 40 runs win over The Colors X-Factor held at the TU ground in Kirtipur. Thanks to the unbeaten first century of the tournament by Aasif Sheikh and a hat-trick of wickets by Karan KC, team Panchakanya Tej was able to score a huge total of 171 runs and restrict team Colors X-Factor to 141 runs.

With this victory, the team Panchakanya Tej has received a cash prize of NRs500,000 as the champion of the tournament. The team led by Sharad Bheshawakar had maintained a perfect record in the tournament winning all the matches against every team they have faced so far.

With the captain out, team X-Factor were demotivated and kept on losing wickets at very short intervals. Sagar Pulami Magar and Siddhant Lohani also could not live up to the expectations.
