Para-Taekwondo 2019 Concluded with a Great Achievement of Bikram Shrestha

Kathmandu, February 27, 2019: 8th Para-Taekwondo ended successfully on 25th February 2019 at Indreni Banquet, New Baneshwor handing over Rs 30,000 and Rs 10,000 cash to the bronze medalist, Bikram Shrestha and trainer Kabi Raj Negi respectively. Bikram Shrestha was able to secure the third position in male category poomsae-32.

On the same occasion, players of Para Taekwondo, Palisha Goverdhan, and Ramchandra Shrestha were provided certificates.

Para-Taekwondo is an event which is organized once in 2 years to uplift the status of Taekwondo worldwide. Unlike other Taekwondo games, it basically focuses on and prioritizes differently able and handicapped players to encourage and support their interest.

Similarly, Sudil Shahi, Member of National Sports Council and Sports Coordinator of Province No.3 were present there as a chief guest. Prakash Shumsher Rana, President of Nepal Taekwondo Association, Deep Raj Gurung, General Secretary, Nepal Taekwondo Association, Keshar Puri, President of NTA Province, Deepak Bista,  Coordinator and Secretary of NTA, Deepak Shrestha from National and International Athlete Association, Para Athletes – Bishal Rai and Bidita Khanal were there in this event.
