Parties’ consent essential for new constitution on May 29: UML leader Nepal

Nepalgunj, 9 March, 2015 : CPN (UML) leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the parties should forge consensus on the disputed issues of a new constitution to issue it on May 29, the Republic Day.

 

At a press meet organized by the Press Chautari Banke, here today, he said that the parties should forge consensus being alert on national integrity as well as religious and cultural harmony.

 

He added that the parties should hold several rounds of informal talks for the same and this ongoing dialogue should bear fruit.

 

Former PM Nepal added that new federal provinces on the basis of ethnic identity are totally impossible in the country.
