Kathmandu, February 14, 2018: Leadership Workshop, a fully funded workshop initiated by Patan College for Professional Studies, supported by Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) and designed by Glocal Pvt.Ltd. concluded on February 11, 2018 at Patan College for Professional Studies, Kupondole, Patan. 24 students studying in different high schools and bachelor’s level were selected for the workshop.
This 8-hour workshop marked the presence of Joy Chowdhury as the trainer and moderator. Joy who is one of the most celebrated influential speaker and trainer for leadership shared his expertise, values, and experiences to the participants.
Distinguished on various timed sessions, the workshop first started with Joy discussing the basics of leadership qualities. He conversed on the importance of core concept of leadership and leadership transition as a crucial opportunity to become successful as a leader. Not only did he discuss the core concept and leadership transition, he went on to give an insight on the interpersonal skills and leadership competencies that an individual must acquire to become a ‘leader’.
On the second timed session, the workshop moved onto the critical aspects any leader needs to acquire the true position of leader. Joy shed light on some of the important keys to leadership. These included- Empathy, service leadership, leadership styles and four stages of leadership. At the near end of the event, an engaging atmosphere sparked as the discussion started on the topic ‘Leadership today Vs Tomorrow’.
As a certification of gratitude, all the participants received certificates and a scholarship amount worth NRs 50,000 in the colleges associated with Patan College for Professional Studies and LBEF.
The program was designed by Glocal Pvt. Ltd. in order to facilitate the growth of a leader that is hidden inside everyone. It not only provided the participants with the ideas about being a leader but gave an inspiration to the youths to showcase their potentials as leaders.
