Golbazaar (Siraha), Aug. 6: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck at Chandrodayapur-8 of Siraha on the East-West Highway last night.
The deceased is yet to be identified. The youth of around 25 years of age died on the spot after being hit by the truck (Na 4 Kha 8507) heading towards the west, according to Police Inspector at the District Traffic Police Office, Lahan Basudev Yadav.
The truck driver fled following the incident while the truck has been impounded by the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya.
