Lets march for our Earth: People’s Climate March, Kathmandu
Kathmandu, September 20: Â Following the departure of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala for UN climate summit, Peopleâ€™s Climate March was organized in Kathmandu.
Peopleâ€™s Climate March is the project initiated to decrease the problems regarding the climate change. The march started atÂ 7:40 amÂ at Bhrikuti Mandap and ended at 9:15 am. . Around 700 people participated in the march.
The People’s Climate March is a major mobilization of community all over the worldÂ to demand bold, political action to address the climate crisis. More than 1500 events was being conducted in 130 countries.
People came out with slogans like â€œWe want climate Justiceâ€ â€œClimate Justice nowâ€ and â€œI march for my familyâ€.

“Peopleâ€™s march was organized to put pressure to government. We want the government to act. Words are not enough. This march is inspired by similar march, which occurred in New York.â€ – Tara Adhikari, Peopleâ€™s movement
Major mobilization is going to be held on 21st September in New York where thousands of people will be joining the march.
This kind of marching helps a lot for creating awareness among people at a national level. Such initiatives should be taken by youths in different parts of our nation and contribute their best for saving our environment and nature.
