Parasi, Sept 24: The term of the prohibitory order in Nawalparasi has been extended until October 1, the District Administration Office, Nawalparasi stated.
A meeting of the District Security Committee on Thursday decided to extend the period of the prohibitory order with the termination of the term fixed earlier. As per the decision, the period of the order has been extended until 10 pm on October 1.
Chief District Officer Hari Prasad Mainali said the prohibitory order has been extended for the seventh time. The District Administration Office has declared the areas within 500 metres on either side of the East-West Highway from TCN Chowk in Bardaghat Municipality up to Sunawal and the entire Ramgram Municipality except the areas to the south of the Bypass Chowk from the Setopul through the Banjiraya Chowk as prohibited areas.
Transport services, industries, educational institutions and financial institutions in the southern belt of the district including the district headquarters, Parasi, have remained closed for the last 40 days due to the shutdown called by the United Democratic Madhesi Front.
