Khotang, October 12: The entrepreneurs running photocopy business have been fleecing the customers while filling up the forms of machine readable passport (MRP).
The customers complained that the photocopy centres were taking exorbitant fee to fill the forms.
According to them, Rs 400 to Rs 700 is charged for filling up an MRP form needed for those opting for foreign job and visit.
Moreover, the forms filled up by inexperienced people need to be corrected again and again after the complaints from the administration.
Chandra Sher Rai coming to the district headquarters from Kharmi-9, complained that Rosish Cyber and Photocopy Centre was the most exorbitantly. However, the concerned bodies were mute on this, he added.
But, Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the district, Khum Narayan Saiju, said the photocopy centre can not charge more than Rs 250 to fill an MRP form and take photos as well. If the centres were found charging more, they would be taken stringent action, he added.
