Kathmandu,18 March 2015: Parliamentary hearing has begun on the government nomination for the key posts at the Public Service Commission (PSC). A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) of the Legislature-Parliament today concluded the hearings on the recommendation of Umesh Prasad Mainali as chairperson and Govinda KC and Binda Hada as members.

They were questioned about possible ways for making the PSC exams more inclusive, its future course of action in federal structure and maintaining fairness and effectiveness in its exams. Responding to the committee members’ queries, the nominees presented their views and plans how the PSC could be taken ahead.

The PHSC has scheduled the hearings on the recommendations of remaining members Shreepurush Dhakal, Ashok Kumar Jha, Brhmadev Raya and Krishna Chandra Jha, and the proposed commissioners of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Deep Basnyat, Nabin Kumar Ghimire, Ganesh Raj Joshi, Raj Narayan Pathak and Dr Sabitri Gurung for March 22.
