The Dharmendra Sewan Trio amidst their performance

Kathmandu, October 8, 2016: Youth for Change successfully conducted the Dharmendra Sewan Trio concert, “Play for a Cause”, on 7th October, Friday as a fund-raising charity show for Nitin Cerebral Palsy Society in Club 25 Hours situated at Tangal, Kathmandu.

The event ended on a successful note, with the total fund raised amounting around two lakhs fifty thousand, that was handed to the president as well as the founder of the society, Mrs Urmila Shrestha at the end of the show. The event lasted for about 3 hours, with performance by the renowned Dharmendra Sewan, and the talented Miss Sona Amatya.

“Participation might have lacked due to the sudden change of venue and performing band”, says Prashanna Shakya. “We were hoping for Moksh Live venue and 1974 AD, but due to some technicalities we had to shift over here. Still it is good to know, people participate in events that are for a good cause.”

Nitin Cerebral Palsy Society is a budding day-boarding system for children with Cerebral Palsy. In order to help youth with such a condition, the society trains them in skills for daily life. ‘Cerebral Palsy is not a disease, just a condition.’ This is what Nitin Cerebral Palsy Society is themed around and what they hope the people will understand.
