Hetauda, December 18, 2016: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said project chiefs should be more responsible towards maintaining transparency and quality in course of constructing various development projects across the country.

Inspecting the power house, reservoir, road and turbine of the under construction Kulekhani III Hydel Project at Bhaise VDC-6 in Makawanpur district today, Prime Minister Dahal said the project should be completed in a smooth manner by mobilising all available means and resources provided by the government.

He said the government was committed to providing budget and technicians required for the construction of national projects. Dahal further said that the government would talk to the Chinese government to complete the construction of the Kulekhani III Hydro Project soon as the Chinese construction company had been delaying construction work.

Chief of the project, Subas Mishra, said although the construction of the project began on December 15, 2012, it had been delayed due to negligence of the construction company.

According to Mishra, the project is slated to be completed by mid-August, 2017 and 40 MW power per hour would be generated from the project. The government has reportedly invested Rs 4.63 billion in the project.
