PM Koirala Meets Japanese PM Abe


April 23, 2015: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, meets Japanese PM Abe during the 60th Asian-African Conference commemoration, Jakarta (Indonesia).

According to the PM’s foreign affairs advisor Dr Dinesh Bhattarai, in this connection Prime Minister Koirala held a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe at the Jakarta conference centre where matters relating to various aspects of Nepal-Japan relations were discussed. Also,Prime Minister Koirala thanked Japan government for its support to the socio-economic development endeavours of Nepal.similarly, Japanese PM Abe said that Japan wishes to see Nepal gain economic prosperity soon on the occasion.Earlier, PM Koirala had held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

PM koirala is busy in sideline meetings with participating heads of state and government and heads of delegation of countries.Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, acting Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi and Dr.Bhattarai were also present during the meeting.

Likewise, today the Prime Minister has been scheduled to meet with President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wajed, President of Myanmar Thein Sein, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other distinguished guests here for the Asian-African conference.

Similarly, heads of delegation from 109 countries in Asia and Africa, 16 observer countries and 25 international organizations are taking part in the NAASP conference and representative countries will continue to address the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership (NAASP) conference that is preceding the 60th Asian-African Conference commemoration to be held in Bandung city.
