Kathmandu, Aug. 31: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala made again a call for talks with the agitating Madhesi political parties, the Tharu Kalyankarini Sabha and the Tharuhat/Tharuwan Joint Struggle Committee.
PM Koirala wrote again to the agitating parties in response to their conditions for talks.
In the letters written to the Federal Socialist Forum, Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, Sadbhavana Party and Tarai Madhes Sadbhavan Party Nepal, the PM said the issues raised by them in the response could discussed through the dialogues by integrating with the issues incorporated by the constitution bill and decisions the government has take earlier.
“Once we go for the amendment of the constitution, the issued agreed can be addressed there, and the ongoing constitution writing process can be made result-oriented by including the agreed upon issues in the draft,” the PM stressed in the letters, according his Press Coordinator Prkash Adhikari.
Moreover, he said if the ongoing process is postponed in the CA, it was invite further uncertainty.
He has requested the agitating parties to join the dialogue table in view of the possibility of the address of their demands.
According to him, the army persons will return to its normal works after the atmosphere of violence fizzles out in Tarai/Madhes. The treatment of the injured and the compensation to the loss obviously falls under State’s responsibility, the PM added.
“Your mature and judicious leaderships would help a lot to bring the situation to normal though the dialogue. I request you again to sit for dialogue with peaceful discussion,” reiterated PM Koirala.
Four parties are active for solving problems
Moreover, the PM said the four political parties are active and serious to make the dialogue result-oriented.
The process talks is initiated after the discussion with the top leaders of the four political parties, PM Koirala stressed in the letters, in view of the demand of Tharuhat and Tharu Kalyankarini Sabha for the participation of four parties during the talks.
