PM pays tribute to people killed in earthquake

Kathmandu, April 24, 2016: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli paid tribute to the earthquake victims on Sunday.

Prime Minister Oli reached earthquake-devastated Dharahara site in the Capital this morning and paid homage to the departed soul amid a programme.

He wished for eternal peace of the departed souls.

The Prime Minister observed a minute silence and offered floral tribute in memory of those killed in the earthquake that took place on April 25, 2015.

Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister, Ministers, government high-ranking officials and tourism entrepreneurs were also present on the occasion.

As many as 9,000 people were killed in 7.6-magnitude earthquake that took place at 11.56 am last year and subsequent aftershocks.
In commemoration of the destructive natural disaster, the government has organised a condolence meet to wish for the peace of all departed souls.
