Kathmandu, Aug. 23: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has expressed his commitment to proper utilization of the relief materials and cash provided by the different organizations and people to the natural disaster victims.
After receiving the cash provided by the Ganesh Man Foundation and Madan Bhandari Memorial College at PM’s official residence at Baluwatar today, PM Koirala made this statement.
The Ganesh Man Singh Foundation and Madan Bhandari Memorial College provided Rs 90, 0000 and Rs 50,100 respectively to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, it is learnt.
Nepali Congress General Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh, who is also the chairman of the foundation, handed over the cash on behalf of the foundation and the honorary campus chief the Madan Bhandari College Dr Dhruba Karki handed over the cash on behalf of the college.
While handing over the cash to PM Koirala, DPM Singh said that all have responsibility to provide the assistance in such a critical situation caused by the natural disasters.
Similarly, campus chief Karki said that the campus was ready to provide education to the children of flood and landslide victims.
