Pokhara, October 2, 2016: To mark the beginning of Dashain this year, Young Scout Troops in Pokhara organized a one-day hiking to Lwang Ghalel.
The hike started at 6:00 in the morning from Ratnachowk. The Scouts, Rovers, Rangers, Scout Masters and Senior Scouts rode in buses and reached Mardi Khola at around 11:15. From there, they were divided into 4 groups and started to walk towards the destination.
On the way up, they were surprised to see the village houses, and meet the people.
The hikers finally reached the destination at around 1:00 pm. They were surprised to see the destination: Tea Garden at Lwang Ghalel.
After reaching the destination, all the four group team leaders made PTFN for all the members and the hikers interacted with each other.
For the snacks, they collected what they had brought, mixed it and divided it for the 140 participants.
After that, they collected all the wastes and dumped it properly.
They were amazed to see the tea garden. They also played games in the tea garden.
After completing all these activities, they returned back to Pokhara with new knowledge and an unforgettable memory from the place.
The Scout troops, including those of Hamro Crew, Bindhyabasini and Bhadrakali Crews in association with the Tal Barahi Scout Troop, Janapriya Scout Troop, Disneyland Scout Troop, SOS Scout Troop and Bhadrakali Scout Troop had participated in the hiking.
