Shankhuwasabha, July 29: Recently, a yarshagumba trader Gopal Karki was arrested from Tumlingtar Airport while he was carrying the medicinal herb collected illegally.
Gopal Karki, of Pathibhara VDC-5 was arrested as he was heading to Kathmandu from the district by air carrying the yarshagumba collected illegally from different places of Sankhuwasabha.
According to the chief of the district police office-Sankhuwasabha, Mr. Kamal Thapa, Karki has been handed over to District Forest Office, Sankhuwasabha, for necessary action.
Meanwhile, another yarshagumba trader Nimchhiri Sherpa of Makalu was also arrested from Devkota Chowk at Khandbari Municipality, this week for carrying the illegally collected yarshagumba, police said.
