Pathari, June 26: 20 intern doctors who have been launching agitation for the past one week have been arrested by the police at Nobel Medical College (NMC).
The 20 intern doctors have been kept at the District Police Office, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Morang, Prabhu Prasad Dhakal. After the intern doctors tried to close the emergency and OPD services and attack police, the police arrested them, added Dhakal. The agitating intern doctors had tried to close the OPD service saying their demands were not addressed.
When the medical college did not provide minimum wages to them and return their deposit amount, they launched the agitation. However, the intern doctors blamed that they were arrested by the under the pressure of college operators.
