Kathmandu, October 3: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav received tika and jamara at the auspicious hour of 10:15 am today on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami festival-2071 BS. Pandit Shankar Prasad Sigdel bestowed tika and jamara to President Dr Yadav amidst a special ceremony at the presidential palace, Shital Niwas.
President also bestowed Tika and blessings to Vice President Parmanand Jha on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami, the tenth day of the Bada Dashai festival today.
The President also gave Tika and blessings to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on the same occasion.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam received tika and jamara from President Dr Yadav on the same occasion.
During a program held at the Shital Niwas, the President gave Tika and blessings to former Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire, high government officials, chiefs of security organs and representatives from the media sector.
The President will be giving Tika and blessings to members of the public from 1 pm to 5 pm in the afternoon.
A huge crowd of public has gathered at the President’s residence for receiving the Tika and blessings.
Incumbent ministers, Constituent Assembly (CA) members, industrialists, business persons, artistes, law practitioners, journalists, intellectuals and people from different walks of life were at the Shital Niwas to receive tika and blessings from the head-of-state
